Enough with MJ Already!

Enough with the Michael Jackson already!! After the "service" today I don't want to hear about it again. No more breaking news about what the hell new kind of drug was in his house. No more video of effed up people crying about some guy they never met.

Yay! He was a good dancer and entertainer. That means that his life is worth more than the rest of us. He also could very well have been a child molester which means he should have died sooner.

There! I said it!

On a related note, I had a little scare on Sunday. Apparently my dad signed me up for the lottery to get tickets for the Michael Jackson memorial service today. I couldn't believe it. Thanks, funny guy! Knowing me, the only thing I ever win in my life would be THIS.

Luckily, I wasn't picked. More space for the unemployed wackos enjoying the fruits of my tax dollars.

I know how unpopular this is, but I loved MJ. I will agree there has been way too much of a media overload and I am tired of it. You know what pisses me off the most about it? Everyone saying because of him we elected a black president. BULLSHIT!

I know he was an inspiration to millions, and his life was sad and bizarre...

but please, spade, hole, let's go!

Oy...I am sick of hearing about it, too. WAY back in the 80's I saw one of his concerts and it was entertaining. I'll admit that he was innovative for a pop star...but I've allowed his apparent pedophila issues to cloud my judgment of the rest of his work.

It is my most sincere hope that when I wake up tomorrow we no longer have to hear about the ridiculous details of this crazy dude.

BUT, had you won the lottery...you would have gone, yes?? It would have been blog fodder extraordinaire! Just think of all of the extravagant church lady hats!!!

Why go when you can watch it on TV? If you want to that is.

Let's move on, folks.

Well said Kristen! What is the matter with us when we have men and women fighting for our freedom daily and we don't even mourn their deaths but we pay tribute to a child molester because he was a talented musician????

Amen to Granny Annie!!! I totally agree that the hype needs to die. It was interesting news on the first day, but life goes on.

Al Sharpton needs to shut his trap. It was ridiculous.

Yes, I watched. So slap me! Ha!

That said, I was surprised that nobody mentioned that MJ also invented the internet.

I thought everybody knew that! *smile*

Hi Kirsten,

Great post had me laughing lots, agree with you.

I would have been very upset too if my name had been put in the draw for tickets to the ghoulish memorial service.

Sadly the stories keep coming about MJ wish it would all stop soon.

Have a good day.
Love,
Herrad

I think we should not get it wrong. Michael Jackson, not only was th Greatest entertainer the world has ever know, he was also a very gentle and kind human being. I heard that he donated over 500 millions to Charities, and that's what was reported by the media and official organisation. I am sur He gave more than that.
So yes,I think any Memory of any individual in this Earth should be celebrated and Honoredthe MOST we can. If people want the Honor and Pay tribute to MJ 's Memory, it's fine for me.
