White Trash Martha Stewart

Last week I shared with you my new found friends from Kentuky, Debra and Steve. My adventure did not end with Steve's unfortunate tazer/lawnmower arrest. I didn't want Debra to be alone in the trailer all night while Steve languished in the drunk tank, so I agreed to stay the night with her. It was a great opportunity to see how Debra and Steve lived.

First of all, the riding lawn mower is their only mode of transportation. Granted, they don't have to go very far. The only places they frequent are The Dollar Palace, Coinstar, The Oyster Shack and occasionally Wal-Mart. However, it's kind of ironic that they don't even have a lawn.

Since Steve had just been arrested, Debra felt the need to show me what a stand up kinda guy Steve is. He helps a lot around the house. As a matter of fact, he picked out and installed all of the window coverings in their house.

He's also a stickler for safety. He also installed their very own fire alarm system.

I guess I underestimated Steve. He is quite the handyman.

Were you stalking me because these are pictures from my household. I bathe in self-loathing and self-hate.

OK, did you come up with the Jiffy Pop idea? Thats great? Call them, maybe they can start targeting fire conventions.

Steve must be incredibly talented with the staple gun to have gotten those split cedar shakes installed as siding on their trailer home.

However I am so surprised that Debra and Steve are still upset about the War of Northern Agression.

Cheers.

You think I could hire Steve to do my house up real nice like that? That Jiffy Pop is both functional and a real nice peice of late oil boom Americana. Nice.
